The Jomsom trek is probably the single most popular trek in Nepal. The diverse landscapes and cultures to be found along the trek route give a marvelous insight into the way of life of rural Nepalese people.
The route to Jomsom up the Kali Gandaki River passes through a gap in the Himalayan barrier in the bottom of the deepest river canyon in the world. Kaligandaki Valley (Jomsom - Muktinath) area is situated in north of Pokhara. Gorepani, where we spend one night before descending Tatopani offers some of the most dramatic close-up views of the highest and most beautiful mountains in the world. In addition, this region is known for some of the most abrupt altitude variations experienced anywhere. A magnificent sunrise at Poon Hill, before descending Tatopani (hot spring) and then we encounter the world's deepest gorge, where the powerful Kali Gandaki River has cut deep through the Himalaya between the massive peaks of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, view of wonderful Dhaulagiri Icefall.
